The objective of this event was to promote awareness on mental health, coping strategies, and suicide prevention among students through creative expression. By providing an open platform for students to share their thoughts through dance, music, recitation, speech, and motivational storytelling, the program aimed to destigmatize discussions around mental well-being and encourage peer support.
Technical Activities Committee in association with Institution’s Innovation Council, CEMK, successfully conducted the Internal Evaluation for Innovative Projects of SIH 2025 on 20th September 2025. This event served as the intra-college evaluation platform for innovative projects proposed by student teams, aimed at addressing real-world problem statements.
The hackathon provided a structured avenue for students to demonstrate innovation, technical competency, and collaborative problem-solving. The evaluation further helped shortlist teams for participation in the national-level Smart India Hackathon 2025.

This report summarizes the successful execution of two major technical events, the "Intra-College Coding Competition" and the "Tech Quiz," organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The events, held on September 13, 2025, were designed to assess and enhance the technical and logical reasoning skills of students from various disciplines. The planning and execution of these events involved multiple stages and a significant number of participants, highlighting a strong interest in technical extracurricular activities within the college. Both events demonstrated a high level of engagement and competitive spirit.
The speakers were Mr. Avijit Sengupta, Assistant Consultant, TCS and Mr. Balaram Manna, Sr. Executive, Atos. Both of them are alumni of CEMK, passed out in 2013.

These elements work together to enhance physical flexibility, build muscle strength, improve posture, and boost energy levels.
Interdepartmental sports at the College of Engineering and Management, Kolaghat foster a spirit of healthy competition, unity, and teamwork among students across various engineering disciplines. Sports like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and athletics serve not only as a platform to showcase talent but also to build camaraderie and leadership skills among students. The vibrant atmosphere during these competitions reflects the dynamic and holistic student culture of CEMK, emphasizing the importance of physical fitness and sportsmanship alongside academic excellence.
To enhance fire safety awareness and emergency preparedness, a Fire Extinguisher Training Session was conducted at the College of Engineering & Management, Kolaghat on 4th June 2025. The training was specially arranged for faculty members, non-teaching staff, and security personnel, reaffirming our commitment to a secure campus environment.
This workshop aims at making CEMK a safe, ethical and productive workplace through "POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment)". This is another step in ascertaining that our workplace remains a safe and inclusive space with equal opportunities for all.

The event was a tribute to the literary giant Rabindranath Tagore, whose legacy of literature, music, and philosophy continues to inspire generations. The program was a harmonious blend of music, dance, poetry, and speeches, reflecting Tagore’s multifaceted genius.
The program commenced with an Inauguration Speech by the Director Dr. Prof. Dilip Gayen, setting a warm and respectful tone for the day. The ceremonial adornment with floral garland marked the official beginning of the celebration.
A blood donation camp was organized in our College on Saturday, 3rd May 2025. It was held in the TPO Conference Hall. Total 50 Donors donated blood. All the preparations such as arrangement of beds, sanitization etc. were made. A team of doctors and nurses from the MOIC Panskura SSH Blood Bank reached in time.

The primary objective of coding competition or competitive programming is to enhance participants problem-solving skills, particularly in the realm of algorithm design and computational thinking. These competitions aim to evaluate and improve a programmer’s ability to analyze problems, develop efficient solutions, and write code within time and resource constraints.
In our department we have organized coding competition on April 16 & 17 through rigorous evaluation process and finally we have rewarded top three teams with some coding kits. In our competition 5 teams of total 20 participants showcasing their innovative research ideas in physical mode. Mostly their work has inclined with machine learning related problems. All the participants achieved the requirements for their own-work. In our entire competition we have maintained strict evaluation methodology and documentation.

Altogether 155 alumni members across 23 passout batches from 2002 to 2024 participated in the event. The reunion was inaugurated by the Director Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Kumar Gayen. In his inaugural speech, he stressed upon the more active participation of Alumni members for the all round development of CEMK. Prof. (Dr.) Debiprasad Chakraborty, the secretary of the CEMK Alumni Association, elaborated about alumni related activities and accounts in the past year for information of all the participants.

A hackathon is a timed event where teams of developers, software engineers, and business experts work together to create a prototype or finished product. The goal is to design, build, and present an innovative solution to a problem.
Objective of the event: The objective of screening this movie on World Happiness Day was to provide relevant portrayals of characters struggling with mental health difficulties, resilience, personal growth, and the pursuit of happiness.
Brief report: Youth Mental Health Club in association with the Aditya Birla Foundation held a film screening of "A Beautiful Mind" in the TPO conference hall on 20 March 2024. The movie was around 2 hours 15 minutes long. The movie was inspired by the life of mathematician John Nash, this biographical drama depicts his struggles with schizophrenia and his journey toward recovery and academic success. It offers insights into the challenges of living with mental illness and the power of perseverance. Students watched the movie and analyzed various elements that they could see in the film. After the end of the film, a discussion session was organised where students were asked to opine on what they felt the relevant. The film screening and discussion ended with a vote of thanks by the convenor Youth Mental Health Club Committee.
