About Us

Established in September 1998, the College of Engineering & Management, Kolaghat (CEMK), is an engineering institute run by the Vidyasagar Society for Integrated Learning (VSIL) under the Department of Power, Government of West Bengal.
The college is guided by strong governance under the leadership of the Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge of the Department of Power, Government of West Bengal, who serves as the Chairman of the institution.
The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (formerly known as WBUT).

The campus of the college spans 32 acres and is situated within the integrated township of the Kolaghat Thermal Power Plant, managed by WBPDCL.
The college is among the select few institutions in India to have received the prestigious World Bank-funded TEQIP-II project under the Government-Aided category.
The college is one of the few institutions in India to have established a C-DAC Regional Centre for the ‘Finishing School on 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing Technology,’ funded by MeitY, Government of India.
